The Penguin Cooling Case is the next evolution of insulin pen cooling. Created by a person with T1D for the diabetes community, this case is the product of two years of thorough research, development, design and market testing.

Using polyacrylate crystals, cotton, and anodized aluminium, this stylish Cooling Case from Penguin utilises unique crystal technology to ensure stable insulin temperatures. Special crystals in the panels of the Penguin expand into a gel, and the process of evaporation allows for continuous cooling. Penguin's Cooling case is designed to keep your insulin cool within temperatures of 18-26ºC (64.4-78.8ºF) for 24 hours.

Precautions: Do not carry or store in a waterproof container when activated. Do not carry or store in an airtight container when activated. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Do not place in a microwave oven. Do not place in a tumble drier or washing machine.

Directions for use:

1. Immerse the Penguin in cold water and soak for 4 minutes. It's important not to soak too long.

2. Remove from water, gently towel dry and leave the Penguin for 2 minutes to dry off - this will allow any excess water to drain away.

3. Twist the Penguin top and bottom sections in the opposite direction allowing the Penguin to separate and insert your insulin pen into the inner chamber.

For use over consecutive days, you just need to immerse in water for 30 seconds each day to ensure gel expansion and cooling effect. If you notice any gel seepage, this means you need to reduce soaking time in future as the gel has expanded to capacity.
