Diabetes Australia’s membership program has transitioned to Diabetes YOUnited.
The revamp has significantly expanded the range of services and support available to help people across the country live well with diabetes.
Diabetes YOUnited membership includes three levels – Essential, Plus and Legacy.
I was already a member of Diabetes Australia, how has my membership changed?
I was already a member of Diabetes Australia, how has my membership changed?
As a valued member of Diabetes Australia, you were automatically upgraded to YOUnited Plus, at no extra cost when Diabetes YOUnited was launched in November 2024.
Under this level of membership, you will now receive a range of new and expanded benefits (as outlined in the table above). As a YOUnited Plus member, you will continue to have specific membership rights, including the right to vote at the AGM.

Essential membership is free and gives you access to community resources and regular updates.
Plus membership ($72/$36*year) includes exclusive content, 7-day meal plans, seasonal quarterly cookbook, subscription to Circle magazine and free Diabetes Shop shipping.
Legacy membership ($1,000 one-time) gives you lifetime access to all Plus benefits while supporting diabetes research and advocacy.

Yes, you can upgrade from Essential to Plus, or from Plus to Legacy at any time. Contact our Customer Service team on 1800 177 055 for assistance.

Can I be a member of both Diabetes Australia and another local state or territory diabetes organisation?
Yes, you can. Being a member of Diabetes YOUnited doesn’t affect your membership of another local diabetes organisation. Sometimes, support starts closer to home and local diabetes organisations work tirelessly to provide tailored support, community programs, and additional resources you may benefit from.

When you become a Plus or Legacy YOUnited member, you'll receive free shipping on all Diabetes Shop orders with no minimum spend.
You will receive a code that will need to be applied each time you make an order. Please refer to your YOUnited membership pack if you are unsure how to redeem this.

Yes. Registering with Diabetes Shop sets you up with a Shop account so that you don’t have to fill in your details every time you order. It also gives you access to your past and current order history, and allows you to add items to a wishlist for future ordering. Unfortunately, it does not qualify you as a YOUnited member or for member benefits.
