About the author: Dr. Sue Radd is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian, a title held by fewer than 2% of dietitians in Australia, as well as a nutrition scientist, culinary expert, and internationally recognized author and speaker. Known for her ability to translate complex science into practical guidance, Dr. Radd has educated audiences worldwide. She completed her doctoral research at The University of Sydney, focusing on how diet can support cognitive health and reduce the risk of dementia. As the Founding Director of the Nutrition and Wellbeing Clinic in Castle Hill, Sydney, Dr. Radd is also a pioneer in culinary medicine. She received the Dietitians Association of Australia President's Award for Innovation for her Culinary Medicine Cookshops, which help people learn to cook for better health.
Dr. Radd's previous works include Eat to Live, co-authored and translated internationally, and The Breakfast Book, which won Best Nutrition Writing at the Vittoria Australian Food Media Awards. Her acclaimed book Food as Medicine: Cooking for Your Best Health was voted Best "Health and Nutrition Book in the World" by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in 2017 and inspired a series of health-focused cookbooks, with Food As Medicine: Cooking to Prevent and Treat Diabetes being the first in the series.
