Hi. The Code Chips have not been included with packs of test strips for sometime. You will call Accu-Chek on 1800 251 816 to obtain a code chip, that you then leave in the monitor.

Sir, I am a permanent resident of Australia and temporarily I am now in India. I am a member of NDSS. Is there any way to get the accu check test strips for glucometer at the subsidised rate from India THank you Alice Decade.

Hi Alice Unfortunately NDSS supplies can only be obtained within Australia. For information on how to obtain diabetes supplies in India you may wish to contact the Diabetic Association of India.

I am currently an international student here in Australia and I am using Accu-check performa to regularly monitor my blood sugar as im a potential Type 2 diabetic due to my parents medical history. I have found that this website offers these products at a cheaper price. How can I avail of this?

Thank you for your question. Diabetes NSW provides these products under a Federal Government program the NDSS. You can register for the NDSS if you are an eligible Australian citizen or permanent resident who; -has been diagnosed with type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes, or -you have been diagnosed with diabetes caused by a genetic defect, pancreatic disease, hormonal abnormality or exposure to certain drugs and chemicals. You are not able to register if you have pre-diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance, or if your health is being monitored in case you develop diabetes. Visitors to Australia that are residents of Belgium, Finland, Italy, Malta, New Zealand, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden, the Netherlands, the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom may be eligible under a Reciprocal Health Care Agreement (RHCA). Visitors travelling on a student visa from Finland, Malta, Norway and the Republic of Ireland are not covered by a RHCA and not eligible. For more information please visit;

I am in New Zealand and we are now restricted to one brand of government funded BG meter which is not consistently accurate nor suitable for those who are taking insulin. Is there any way you can allow people in New Zealand access to reduced rates for AccuChek Performa test strips thru your organisation please? There are hundreds of diabetics now struggling to manage their diabetes due to this change in funding and we are desperate for a source of accurate, world renown and trusted test strips.

Thank you for your question, unfortunately Diabetes NSW supplies Federally subsidised blood glucose testing strips, therefore we can only supply the test strips to eligible Australian citizens and permanent residents.
